There’s nothing like an original- remixes to songs can sometimes be over-done, sequels don’t live up to the first movie, re-released sneaks can… well… piss you off. So you can imagine people’s responses when the Spizikes were suppose to emerge- after the disappointment of Jordan Fusions.
Spizikes are a compilation of six retros: the III midsole, sole, & elephant/Spike print, IV wings, V netting and body of the shoe, VI tongue & lace locks, IX back tab, and XXI laser graphics on inside sockliner. Quite frankly, I think it’s safe to say they were a success. Some color-ways weren’t fan faves, but others were worth searching for.
And these Infrareds are definitely worth it. Equip with patent leather, suede, and premium leather, oh yea. Available in two color-ways – the varsity red/black was released May 8 (Happy Mother’s Day) and the black/new blue is set for June 5. When will we grow out of Mike’s? I’m thinking and hoping never. Judge me if you want, but if he keeps releasing joints like this? I’m rockin’ em ’til I’m 60. ~ Courtney Michelle
Chunky Rings are my new fashion must have! Leeora Catalan especially draws me to a collection from her nOir Jewelry. nOir has been seen on a lot of our favorite celebs, such as; Lady GaGa, Alicia Keys, Madonna, Amber Rose, & Rihanna.
nOir has been in business for 14 years, but Catalan’s style fits perfectly with Today’s current fashion scene. Whimsical, raw, and bold nOir’s rings will definitely bring fun to your jewelry box & lot’s of conversation wherever you wear them. Prices range from $45 to $300+
I purchased “Fig the Flying Pig” ($180)
and “Goldie the Elephant” ($175)
This is next: “Brooklyn Bridge” ($250)
I must warn you that they are large pieces, so if your afraid to be bold and flashy, you may want to look for something else nOir offers.
nOir also offers earrings, bracelets, and necklaces to add to your personal stash!
As we know, yesterday Justin Bieber recieved a BET Award nomination, but what alot of people don’t understand is why. BET (and the BET Awards) were designed to acknowledge the aritsts, actors, directors, etc who don’t get the recgonition that they deserved from other award shows (Grammys anyone?). Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programing and Specials, said “Bieber has crossed the color boundaries the same way that hip-hop has crossed the boundaries the other way for a number of years, he has rhythm in his music and he makes the type of music our audience likes.” This very true, and everyone knows it. I really don’t understand why people are upset over it. I can understand that you may not like his music but the kid deserves this award nomination, and truthfully I hope he wins.
Say what you want about Britney Spears, but don’t deny her talent. We can officially call Britney the crucible of fame for the famous: loving it, hating it and never quite being able to stop it from destroying you, she’s done pretty good for herself for the past few years. After finishing her Circus Tour for her album of the same name in Australia in November of last year, she went right back to the studio to work on her upcoming album which is yet to be titled. While little information is known about it, there have been talks about it being her “last album”, and her going into retirement and shes not even 30 yet. If she does go into retirement, you can bet that it won’t be for too long, afterall, the Pop world just wouldnt be right without her.
