BET announced today that the rapper will take the stage for “a dynamic comeback performance.” This will be his first major awards show appearance since last year’s memorable MTV Video Music Awards. While it has not been revealed what he will perform, there’s a good chance it will include his new single Power from his forthcoming album Good Ass Job.
Ludacris, Rick Ross, and DJ Khaled have also been added to this year’s lineup. They join previously announced performers T.I., Drake, Diddy-Dirty Money, Nicki Minaj, and Trey Songz. The 10th annual event will be hosted by Queen Latifah and John Legend will receive the Humanitarian Award. The BET Awards 2010 airs live Sunday, June 27, at 8 p.m. EST from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

June 9, 2010

No More Brand Nu 4 Brandy

June 9, 2010

4 those of you who didn’t know, Brandy wanted to take a shot at being a female rapper. She appeared on Timbaland’s Shock Value II album, and even showed her skills on her reality TV show with her parents and brother Ray J entitled A Family Business. According to gossiponthis.com, Brandy says that even though she’s been rapping under alter ego Bran’Nu, don’t expect her to come out with a Hip-Hop album anytime soon, but maybe two songs on her upcoming album may feature a rap verse. iThink that shes an good rapper, though iPrefer her singing. Monica raps on her tracks at time and she’s fairly well also. If you watch the show on VH1 like myself, you’ll know that Sonja (her mother) wasn’t feeling Bran’Nu at all, and iKnow for a fact that she’s glad Brandy’s not going through with it at all. After all, it’s not like she’s a Missy Elliott or a Lil Kim.

Prince Covers Ebony Magazine

June 8, 2010

Prince (who iCall the most beautiful man to ever walk the face of the earth. Not to mention he looks better than most women) covers the July issue of Ebony Magazine. Prince opens up in what the magazine calls a “12-hour encounter”. The musical genius opens up in his own way about topics ranging from his experience as a Jehovah’s Witness and his priorities regarding his relationship with Bria Valente. As the pop star approaches 52 (only 52…iswear he doesn’t look a day over 45), I’m sure that fans can expect a new album soon.

Juvenile Prepares for New Album

June 8, 2010

According to allhiphop.com, Juvenile is set to release his album Beast Mode, the follow up to December’s release of Cocky and Confident (he had an album released in December? where the hell have iBeen?) The album is said to have no features, which seems to be a new trend among many upcoming albums these days, and was produced by Juvenile himself. The first single form the album which is stated for a early July release is entitled Drop That Azz. It was released on iTunes on May 18th. iLike Juvenile. iwas lucky enough to have met him twice. iAm very much excited for his album and iHope it puts him back on the rap charts where he belongs.

Jada Pinkett Smith Bares it All

June 8, 2010

Thanks to theybf.com we learned that 1 of my favorite people in the world Miss Jada Pinkett Smith  covers the July issue of Essence magazine and lets just say that she’s baring it all!. Jada who is not only an established actress, is a mother of 3, singer, producer, and is married to actor and rapper Will Smith. They are like sex with clothes on to me. There are two covers to the magazine and one shows Jada wearing nothing but MAC. My grandma and iHave always stated that she has the most beautiful skin ever (next to Gabrielle Union of course). In the issue she talks about what gave her the motivation to actually pose nude and, she talks about raising a blended family of artists and being a wife and businesswoman all at once. The issue hits news stands on June 11th.

Boris Kodjoe Set to Start in New Show

June 4, 2010

According to hollywood.com, NBC has added a new show to its fall 2010 roster entitled Undercovers, which will star the gorgeous Boris Kodjoe (he’s like  the most beautiful man i’ve ever seen since Prince) along side British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw (can someone pronounce her name 4 me?). The show revolves around Stephan and Samantha Bloom, a husband and wife spy duo who return from years of retirement as CIA agents. They have a successful resturant business and live a normal life…at least until they are asked to help some1 on a mission. It gives me a black Mr. and Mrs. Smith feel, except they arent trying to kill each other. While iWill be tunning in for the 1st few episodes, iHope millions of others will also.  Is it sad to say that iThink it won’t last longer than 2 seasons? Judge for yourself by watching the trailer below.
