Eminem Supports Gay Marriage

June 17, 2010

In a new interview with The New York Times magazine, Eminem declares that the way he looks at things now is different then hwo he used to look at themm thanks to MTV News. During the interview Eminem was asked if he’d support a gay marriage bill in his home state of Michigan. And he said yes ! “I think if two people love each other, then what the hell?” Em answered. “I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.” Throughout his career, Eminem has sparked controversy with gay rights groups, who called lyrics on his Marshell Mathers LP homophic and hateful and they protested against his nomination at the Grammys in 2001.  Alot of rappers don’t support gay marriage, and of course are homophobic. iReally don’t know why. Being gay myself iKnow for a fact that people in the LGBT community loves music. If u are an artist and u discriminate against the LGBT group you may as well hang it up. Some of your biggest fans may come from the gay community. We are people too andf hopefully people will begin to see that. I’m glad that Eminem has stepped up and stated that he has no problem once so ever with the gays and that he supports gay marriage. Maybe if Bow Wow comes out the cloest, he shall be able to accept himself and other gay people alike.

Christina Aguilera Debuts At Number 3

June 16, 2010

The numbers are in. While the Glee Casts new album debuts at number 1 on the Billboard 200 Charts with 158,135 copies,  and even the Twilight Saga: Eclipsesoundtrack debuted at number 2 with 155,207 copies, Christina Aguilera’s album Bionicdebuts at number 3 with only 111,838 copies. It’s not really that bad but the record company had high expectations for the album. iHad my doubts since the failure of Not Myself Tonightbut iHad to remind myself that Christina has a very loyal fan base. Well obviously that fan base is either taking their time to purchase the album, or they just aren’t feeling it. iMentioned  last week during my review that Christina has tried something new and while it’s good to reinvent yourself, it just doesn’t work for her. She gave up her slow mid tempo pop songs for upbeat pop electronica songs that just don’t fit her. The 2nd single Woohoo that features Nicki Minaj has debuted at number 79 on the Hot 100, and it doesn’t seem like it will pass the number 60 mark if u ask me. Christina is really at her best with her ballads. If she releases one of the 5 that she has on her album, not only will it help the album sell, but it will let fans know that she hasn’t reinvented herself much; nevertheless the album will still reach platinum status in due time regardless of how the fans receive the album.

Gaga Prepares To Break More Records

June 11, 2010

This has been quite a week for Lady Gaga. The video for her current single Alejandro was released and has sparked some good and bad news. On the other hand, Alejandro has passed the 1,000,000 digital downloads mark. It has become her seventh consecutive single to pass the one million mark. The Fame Monster album itself has already sold 3 million copies. Her six previous singles also have passed the 2,000,000 digital downloads mark. If & when Alejandro also passes two million, she will hold the record by being the ONLY artist to have 7 songs reaching that two million mark. In similar news, Bad Romance has also reached the 3.95 million digital download mark this week. When it passes the 4 million mark, it will also make Lady Gaga the first & only artist in digital download history to have 3 songs to have passed 4,000,000 downloads. The other two songs, Just Dance and Poker Face, both have marked 5 million in downloads, also a set record by Gaga.
