Toy Story 3 Plays It's Way To The Top

Just as we all figured would happen in the 1st place, Toy Story 3 opens at number one on it’s opening weekend. The film brought in $109 million, in the United States and 44.8 million overseas, which brings its actual total to 153.8 million. It is the third animated film to make over 100 million on a opening weekend, the 1st being Shrek 2 with 108 million and Shrek the Third with $121.6 million. It is also the bets debut for a Disney/Pixar film topping “The Incredibles”, which opened at $70.5 million. The Karate Kid, which stars Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan, is now number 2 and has managed to pull in 29 million this week end. The weekend’s other new wide release, the Warner Bros. action tale “Jonah Hex,” bombed with just $5.1 million. And iMust say I’m actually shocked, iThought it would have @ least made it to number 3. That really goes to show you that casting Megan Fox as eye candy only, doesn’t work out too well. iMean can she even really act? She hardly had any lines in the Transformers movies, and Jennifer’s Body flopped harder than any Keri Hilson live performance. iCan bet that Toy Story 3 will manage to pull another 60-70 million by next Sunday. If it pulled in more, iWouldn’t be surprised.

Lady Gaga Covers Rolling Stone Magazine

Lady Gaga covers the July issue of Rolling Stone magazine. By looking at the headline “Lady Gaga Tells All”, I’m sure she’s discussing everything from her having Lupus to her controversial video Alejandro(which has only been out for almost 2 weeks and has over 23 million views on YouTube already). iThink she looks real good here and it’s good to see her with her real hair every now and then. iActually prefer her with her natural do. And yes folks, her ass is very much so photo shopped there…iStill like it.

Kelly Rowland Ready To Take Over

Leaving Matthew Knowles management and Columbia Records has got to be the best thing that Kelly has done! 1st she gets featured on the Grammy award winning single When Love Takes Over by French Dj David Guetta from his album One Love, then she drafted Jeff Rabham as her new manager and inked a deal with Universal Motown, which is also the home of big name artists such as Lil’Wayne, Busta Rhymes, and Legend Stevie Wonder. If that wasn’t enough, she signed up to record the MTN theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South African, entitled Everywhere You Go, featuring an all-star supergroup of international artists called Rhythm of Africa United. And now she’s now working on her 3rd studio album who’s title has yet to be released. The album is a combination of the urban/pop Destiny’s Child sound and Kelly’s new found love for dance music. Commander was released in May 2010 as an American promotional single and as the international lead single from the project. If that wasn’t enough, She already has the title and cover art work for the next 2 singles Grown Ass Woman and Rose Colored Glasses. iReally think that Kelly actually has a chance to prove that she’s just as good as Beyonce (better if you ask me).

Oprah hands out $10,000 checks & iPads

In celebration of Oprah’s magazine O 10th anniversary, The big O gave everyone associated with the magazine an iPad and $10,000.  Regardless of how long they have worked there, everyone was lucky enough to receive one so even new workers got the goods. That means if you started yesterday you recieved a iPad and $10,000. And although Oprah is ending her talk show in 2011, she has no plans of ending her magazine. Congrats on the success of the magazine (that my grandma is subscribed to religiously). My grandma has to be the biggest Oprah fan in the world. To her, Oprah can do no wrong, and you know what, iThink shes right.

Gosh there has been a lot of magazine covers being released this week. Queen Latifah covers the upcoming issue of Upscale magazine and addresses rumors about her sexuality. She looks really good on the cover and she’s wearing her queen collection makeup from cover girl (if not then she should be hell she endorses it). Queen Latifah also speaks on social networking and how she’s not really big on it. iLike 2 consider Queen Latifah as my celebrity mom in my head. Whatever her orientation may be, it doesn’t matter. She’s a very well accomplished black woman and who she choses to sleep with is her business.

Alicia Keys wants to Adopt Children from Africa

It seems like Alicia has been making a new headline every week for the past 3 weeks or so. According to gossiponthis.com, Alicia, who heads the charity called Keep A Child Alive wants to adopt a child from Africa. Alicia stated that she felt the urge when she visited Africa a while ago. She also feels that she has amazing brothers and sisters there as well. Despite what you have to say about Alicia being with Swizz Beatz, or how she’s living her life, you’ll have to admit that she has a big heart and a beautiful spirit. She’s not like other celebrities who own a charity and never goes to visit the charity it’s self, or other places associated with it. There are every few celebrities who do so such as Ludacris, Denzel Washington, and Nelly just to name a few. Whatever Alicia decides to do, iWish her the best.

New Ginuwine Album in the Works

After the disappointing sales of his last album, A Man’s Thoughts (it sold 250, 000 to date), Ginuwine is currently working on a new album entitled Elgin (his real name). Though there isn’t much information about the upcoming effort, it is due to be released sometime this year. I’m very excited for this album. iLike Ginuwine and iWasn’t pleased with the last album at all. iFelt like something was missing. That wasn’t the Ginuwine iGrew to love. Either way it goes myself and fans alike are so anxious for the Bachelor himself. He’s 1 of the classic RnB people in the industry, and even if he doesn’t sell records, he sells tickets for shows

Kanye To Perfom at The BET Awards

BET announced today that the rapper will take the stage for “a dynamic comeback performance.” This will be his first major awards show appearance since last year’s memorable MTV Video Music Awards. While it has not been revealed what he will perform, there’s a good chance it will include his new single Power from his forthcoming album Good Ass Job.
Ludacris, Rick Ross, and DJ Khaled have also been added to this year’s lineup. They join previously announced performers T.I., Drake, Diddy-Dirty Money, Nicki Minaj, and Trey Songz. The 10th annual event will be hosted by Queen Latifah and John Legend will receive the Humanitarian Award. The BET Awards 2010 airs live Sunday, June 27, at 8 p.m. EST from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

No More Brand Nu 4 Brandy

4 those of you who didn’t know, Brandy wanted to take a shot at being a female rapper. She appeared on Timbaland’s Shock Value II album, and even showed her skills on her reality TV show with her parents and brother Ray J entitled A Family Business. According to gossiponthis.com, Brandy says that even though she’s been rapping under alter ego Bran’Nu, don’t expect her to come out with a Hip-Hop album anytime soon, but maybe two songs on her upcoming album may feature a rap verse. iThink that shes an good rapper, though iPrefer her singing. Monica raps on her tracks at time and she’s fairly well also. If you watch the show on VH1 like myself, you’ll know that Sonja (her mother) wasn’t feeling Bran’Nu at all, and iKnow for a fact that she’s glad Brandy’s not going through with it at all. After all, it’s not like she’s a Missy Elliott or a Lil Kim.
