Possible Beyonce Lady Gaga & Britney Spears Collab?

So iWas on YouTube doing my daily Britney Spears session, and 4 some reason, iWanted 2 hear her telephone demo (iDon’t really like it too much but hey its a demo 4 a reason). If you didn’t know, Lady Gaga originally wrote her hit single Telephone that features Beyonce for Britney’s album Circus. But Britney’s management rejected the song and Gaga kept it for herself. I’m glad that they rejected the song for Britney becuase the beat just doesn’t work for her voice. So anyway, iCame across this video on YouTube of Britney, Gaga, and Beyonce singing telephone together as a trio. Whoever did this should be paid because it’s hot. Then it hit me. What if  Gaga Britney and Beyonce did a song together? Not only will it be one of the greatest collaborations of the next 10 years, but it’ll be the greatest collboration with 3 of the most groundbreaking women in music on the same song. Beyonce- Why Don't You Love Me

Beyonce plays the role of a desperate housewife better than Eva Longoria in her latest video- Why Don’t You Love Me. Written by sister Solange, Beyonce shows she’s a better actor in her vids.  Deciding to go 50’s all the way- (Which is totally ironic; due to the fact Hank Williams had his own rendition of “Why Don’t You Love Me” in the 50’s) from the narrator and music in the opening scene, the car choice, and obviously the fashion.

Her stylist got it completely right with choosing trends and looks of the upcoming fall season.  Top four things to look for:

• tailoring
• volume
• sculpture
• restraint

And you can believe they covered all of them.  New shapes and lady-like volumes were the basis of the video and the look of the season.  You knew Beyonce wasn’t going anywhere without that unitard one-piece! Restraint and sculpture: check.  High waisted hot-pants crept in; they been around since 2007 when Chanel  and D&G decided to hit us hard with ’em.  (Remember Gwen on the cover of InStyle with the sequent pair?  Then Beyonce shortly followed on her own cover the same year)  But any-who, on to the other important pieces I spotted.

• Chunky, embellished jewels- focus on rings ( See nOir Jewelry post)
• Sky-high platforms- new lavender Christian Louboutin’s
• Cat-eye lenses
• Striped sweater
• Tiffany blue nail polish (get the color from: Quirius- Jamaican Dream)
• Red/Nude, plump lips
• Chanel accessories
• Lace, lace, LACE- big Fall 2010 trend

I loved her interlude, the mascara running down her face, and the dusting off of her, Destiny’s Child, and Jay-Z’s grammys; it gave us that bitchy Beyonce we love oh-so-much.  Other ironic fact?  Mens-wear inspired garments are the biggest focus for designers at the moment; what are the odds she’d be fixing a car in the opening scene? Hmmmmm…  This is probably my favorite video from Bey, hands down.  I’m sure you’ve seen it, but who cares.  I can watch it over and over.  And now that you know what to look for, enjoy. ~ C.M.

Beyonce's Getting Sued

Whu uh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh -duz the Single Ladies hand movement-. Well as reported by TMZ.com Philip Markowitz, neighbor to the residence where Beyonce shot her latest video, Why You Don’t Love Me, is claiming that Bey’s camp disrupted his entire day with the shoot. Markowitz alleges in the lawsuit that in addition to being woken up at 7am, the film crew blocked his driveway permitting him from leaving the house and due to arguing with the crew about the driveway inconvenience he also missed several business calls.  Markowitz is suing Beyonce along with the production company for punitive and unspecified damages. iBelieve it! Beyonce is a D I VA and what she wants she gets. People don’t think that she has an attitude or has this “do u kno who iAm persona”, but iDo! iHope Mr. Markowitz wins but anyway, check out the video.

Icon Liza Minelli Remakes Single Ladies

When ihear the names Liza and Minnelli together in the same sentence I instantly say Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (which is my all time favorite movie) iconic daughter! To me Liza Minnelli can do no wrong…at least iThought she couldn’t. The soundtrack for the heavily anticipated movie Sex in the City 2 (which will hit theaters tomorrow) was leaked a few days ago and iWas very excited to hear Ms. Minelli’s version of Beyonce’s hit Single Ladies. While iactually grabbed a cup of tea and a oreo to enjoy what iWas hoping would be epic, after 30 seconds iHad to stop it. As much as iHate to say it…Liza’s version was horrible! Her voice truly duznt fit the track and as much of an icon that Liza is, it really shouldn’t mater but sadly it does. If u are a devoted Beyonce fan then isuggest you not listen to this or even think about listening to it…and if u are going to see Sex in the City 2, then go get some popcorn or something when Ms. Minelli performs the song during the wedding scene.

Battle of the Bitches

While Alejandro is prepping for it’s video release, Lady Gaga has big things planned for this year. She recently announced a new leg for her positive reviewed “Monster Ball Tour”, 4 more singles to be released from her now platinum album (it’s really an EP) “The Fame Monster”, and over the weekend she stated that she’s also working on her third studio album which is due out later this year. If you thought that 2009 was the year of Gaga, get prepared to see alot more of her this year as well. The good side of all of this is that now she has competition. Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and my personal fav Britney Spears, and icon Janet Jackson, are all scheduled to release albums this year. I think it’s safe to announce that Bitch Fest 2010 is ready to take off but the reigning question is…who’s the baddest?
